I was going to make a long post about genderbending flaws but i gave up
still, lets summarize- making a character female doesnt somehow turn their personality 180 degrees around. if they do not care about their appearance as males theres a faint possibility they will as females.
- Being female doesnt automatically make them interested in fashion or cute or well kept or dependent on peoples opinion of their appearance. Theyre not obliged to wear skirts, hell, they dont even have to wear womens blouses. If youre good at it, well know your Eridan is female, even in a male-cut pullover and non-fitting pants.
- srsly when making a GB follow their personality, dont match their personality to the vision you created.
Eg.
-Dave would be sb who strives for comfort, convenience and efficiency. Minimal effort and maintenance. Its up to you to visualise this, but keep it in mind. See also: low self-esteem, Houston weather, lifestyle, interests, abilities(as in money), attitude towards people, ect.
-Gamzee probably walks around in his pjs. Point made. - Do not be afraid to make them different. Seriosly. Girls are not some kind of heaven-descent angels who puff their curls up and fart perfume and always look their best. Different =/=bad. Different=variety=good.
-Girls can have thick eyebrows
-Boys can have thin eyebrows
-Women do not comprise of WIDE hips and BIG bust
-A man is not defined by BROAD shoulders and THIN waist or EDGY jaw or LEG HAIR. - Same applies to males. Do not GB them only to sexualise them.(even if this happens to a smaller degree, compared to male->female GB)
- Im not saying there are no differences between men and women. But you must rid of these horrible stereotypes of the perfect woman look and perfect man look. MIX and MATCH. It all exists.
- There are boys with long hair
- There are girls with short hair
- Some boys dig fashion
- Some girls dont
- Boobs do not change a person
- Penis neither.
